HOW BUYERS CAN PROTECT THEMSELVES:

  • Ask questions. Document the answers to questions.
  • Tell the seller what you intend to use the horse for and ask if the horse is suitable for such use. Ask if there are any known conditions which would hamper the horse’s performance in this capacity.
  • Use a written purchase agreement.
  • If there's something that is vital to the sale, such as soundness, breeding capacity, etc., be sure to have it included in the purchase agreement.
  • Properly inspect the horse. The level of inspection depends upon the intended use, breed and sport standards. If you are not sure what type of inspection is necessary contact a professional breeder, trainer or equine veterinarian.
  • Test the horse’s suitability for its intended use.

HOW SELLERS CAN PROTECT THEMSELVES:

  • Answer questions truthfully.
  • Inform the buyer, especially if the buyer is inexperienced, that they have the option to obtain a veterinarian exam of the horse if they desire.
  • Always use a written purchase agreement.
  • Include "as is" and merger provisions in the contract. If the buyer requests to have guarantees or warranties included in the contract, determine if you want to be held to those guarantees or warranties.

FOR SALE:  7 Year Old Percheron named "Black Jack"  (Although he is faded from the sun :)  He is a great horse, he rides western and we believe that he would be fairly easy to break to pull a cart.  He is mild mannered and is responsive to commands. The reason that I am selling is due to the fact that my daughter has lost interest in the horse and there is no need of paying board on a horse and letting him not be worked.  He will be fine for you to ride four times a week or once every other week.  Asking $2000 but willing to negotiate if he is going to a good home.  Also will to trade for anything that does not need to be fed.  I also have more pictures of him being ridden, and he is still being ridden on a continual basis now.  So he is ready to go.  Contact me at jlstalker9763@yahoo.com

FOR SALE:  Section A stallion IMPORTED(registered with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society) he stands aprox 12.0 hands and is of of the *Trefaes Taran bloodline also a well known Imported Supreme Champion in the US and UK.  He has excellent hunter movement, never beed bred to my knowledge, I purchased him from a friend a while back, excellent personality.

Some of the best bloodlines available in the US and would make wonderful crosses on TB, warmblood and any large breed mares and still would throw med to large ponies.  Both are very gentle and kind.  They should produce offspring to compete at top levels.

I am asking $ 2200 I am really concerned with finding him a good home and can be negotiable on pricing if that is the case.  He  needs to go to someone that knows about his capabilities and familure with the bloodlines. Someone could even geld him and make a riding pony or driving pony.  He is really just now big enough to really start breeding or training.  He is 3yr old and trainers usually do not start riding or breeding until at least a 3-4 year old.

You can contact me at horsendr@aol.com for more information and pricing.
